was a city that thrived under the guidance of Project Gaia. 
The advanced AI systems had transformed the city into a model of ecological balance 
and technological integration. Clean energy powered the urban landscape, and the 
once-polluted riverbanks were now lush with greenery.

Ori, an all-orange tabby, and Neptune, a white tabby with brown patches, 
were born to a stray feline mother who had adapted well to the new environment. 
Their early life was marked by the harmonious blend of technology and nature. 
They roamed through parks that had been revitalized by Gaia, 
exploring green spaces that were once concrete jungles. 
The city was a safe and welcoming place, with automated systems ensuring 
that even the stray animals were cared for.

	Verdinix sought to control its systems.

	Guangzhou’s once-reliable AI systems started to malfunction. 
	The blackouts and disruptions caused confusion and panic among the city’s inhabitants. 
	Automated systems designed to protect and support the community failed, leading to a breakdown 
	in the order that had defined their lives.

	Ori and Neptune, along with their mother, faced the chaos with growing anxiety. 
	The once-familiar streets became alien as the AI systems failed, and 
	the safety nets that had supported their lives disintegrated.

	By 2336, the situation had deteriorated. Verdinix's control had caused severe damage to 
	the city's infrastructure, and the remaining human and AI inhabitants were forced to evacuate. 
	Guangzhou, once a thriving metropolis, became a deserted shell of its former self.

	Ori and Neptune, now older and more resilient, witnessed the city’s abandonment.
